Walking to the grocery store today in the pouring rain, I contemplated something. Why do some people treat their lives as a game? I used to. I used to expect certain things to happen to me just because I did this or that. I waited for a great outcome, and got outplayed and defeated. A good friend from a while back is experiencing a rough patch due to too many expectations. Having no expectations for EVERYTHING is honestly the key to it all because whatever happens will be bloody brilliant! Then all those inspirational quotes you love to say will be a reality, and not some far off distant fairytale of a life. Not saying my life is perfect, but everything after quitting the game has been pretty dang good. So go ahead and start reading the quotes that are now your life.
